Creating Engaging Safety Training Videos for Luxfer MEL Technologies in Manchester
Luxfer MEL Technologies is a leading developer and producer of highly engineered magnesium and zirconium materials based in Manchester, UK. With a global reach, Luxfer provides material solutions that enable lighter, faster, stronger, safer, higher performance, more efficient and cost effective end-use applications across various sectors.
The Brief
Site safety is of paramount importance to Luxfer MEL and they were looking for a memorable and compelling way to put this message across to outside contractors before they are allowed on site. Video, rather than other forms of training, is an engaging way to convey an important message and Luxfer MEL asked us to create a film which covered various site safety requirements and precautions which contractors need to take whilst working on the premises.
The Solution
Our initial project brief was to create a 13 minute contractor safety video, with the captured footage also used to create a visitor safety video. As part of this project we provided a range of services which began with storyboarding and hiring of a professional actor, through to on-site filming, footage editing, adding motion graphics and composing, recording and mixing music, and voice-over recording.
The Outcome
The safety video we created was extremely well received by Luxfer’s senior management team, who were very impressed with the high quality production value of the video. As a result, further collaborations are pending.
